In a surprise assault that began in the early hours of the 7th of October, which Hamas dubbed as ‘Operation Al Aqsa Storm’, the Palestinian group attacked Israel from land, air and sea. In a span of 20 minutes, Hamas claims to have fired over 7500 rockets into Israel. And its fighters breached and captured an Israeli military camp. As sirens blared over the Israeli skies, Prime minister Netanyahu appeared on national television to announce that Israel is at war with Hamas.
