Political analysis and comments in social networks abroad point to similarities between the protests in front of the barracks and the rebellious movement famous in the Arab world years ago.
BrazilianSpring is a hashtag that has been drawing worldwide attention on social networks since popular demonstrations became routine as soon as the Establishment proclaimed and celebrated the triumph of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in the presidential election. At first, the spontaneous movement was interpreted as “a natural reaction of the defeated” (in this case, the more than 58 million voters of Jair Messias Bolsonaro, President who did not win reelection).
The spontaneous movement of the yellow-green patriotic masses also directly affects the olive-green spirit of the Brazilian Army’s military. The feelings and expectations are quite different within the uniformed “Legions”. General Officers observe the popular clamor with respect, but with a lot of discomfort. They defend the professional posture of the military, refusing to speak out or interfere in actions of a “political nature”.
The report presented by the Brazilian army, was left to the responsibility of the president of the federal electoral court, accused of abuse of power.
In the report, the army declared that several ways to cheat the system were contacted, but that it was not possible to conclude the investigation, because the source code used by the famous Brazilian electronic ballot boxes was not provided. The report states that the system has 17 million lines of code, which were not verified.
Even with the report of the army leaving in the air a possible failure of electronic security in the presidential elections of 2022,
the president of the (TSE) Judge Alexandre de Morais, have fired an opinion saying that no fraud happened in the elections where the president-elect Lula Inácio da Silva, won with a very low margin, generating more suspicion by the Brazilian people.
Due to these uncertainties, a conversation among military alleges the risk of a civil war, if these doubts are not clarified in a clear and objective way for the Brazilian people.
